Ad Obscura
“sic itur ad astra”
...thus one journeys to the stars
– Virgil, Aeneid
Short Comic, self published
This comic was inspired by the current understanding of black holes, which to be fair, consists of very little. It is generally agreed that they are very weird, very cool, and might just contain the secrets of the universe. Our theories about this cosmic phenomena have come very far in the short time since evidence of their existence was discovered, and I found physicists’ descriptions of their effects upon a unlucky traveler to be very intriguing. A lot of these discussions necessitate starting with “...if we had a magic spaceship...”, so that’s where I come in. I worked in the traditional dip pen and ink medium, which worked well to the vast dark cosmos to life.
