This comic is inspired by the current understanding of black holes, which to be fair, consists of very little. It is generally agreed that they are very weird, very cool, and might just contain the secrets of the universe. Our theories about this cosmic phenomena have come very far in the short time since evidence of their existence was discovered, and I found physicists’ descriptions of their effects upon a unlucky traveler to be very intriguing. A lot of these discussions necessitate starting with “...if we had a magic spaceship...”, so that’s where I come in.

ABSTRACTION
My comic for the @perthcomicartsfestival Tale Town Magazine. This issue tacked AI and artists' responses to it.
The pieces referenced above are Marcel DuChamp's Fountain (1917) and Piet Mondrian's Composition with Red, Blue and Yellow (1930).
These works, amongst many other famous examples, are often brought up when criticising modern art. Despite their apparent simplicity, both have been created with human inspiration and intent which make them infinitely more valuable to the world than any regurgitated AI generated image.
SPIDER MAN
A short little comic that's been sitting my drafts for 2 years - all the PCAF celebration inspired me to finally finish it off.
I miss the kids at the elementary schools I taught at - they were always so enthusiastic about learning. This instance stuck with me - it was just too cute!
FLIGHT
I was inspired to create a comic that played with a different reading experience. This comic is folded into a paper airplane - a shape that many people recognise and have made in their lives. The panels are designed to be read as the plane unfolds, and it shares some of my conflicting feelings on flying.
